As yesterday was Friday the 13th and Halloween is coming up soon, I’ve been in the spirit of spookiness. One of my favourite internet trends<! — more → are the Shortest Horror Stories forums. If you’ve never heard of these before, this is an example of one of my favourites:

“I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.”

I thought it would be fun to come up with some playful graphic design related nightmares. Enjoy!

Your client needs their project printed for an event at 1:00pm.
You send it over in time. Your phone rings at 1:01pm.

You have been working on a poster in Photoshop for 3 hours.
You go to do one last move before saving it. It freezes.

You updated 3 plugins on your Wordpress site.
The empty white screen appears.

You downloaded the most recent phone updated.
Your Notepad typeface changed to Comic Sans.

After hours of looking, you found a perfectly suitable job listing.
You scrolled down to the salary: “Will help boost your portfolio.”

You took 10 minutes finalizing your Instagram post and published it.
You were logged into your work’s account.

You got an annoying e-mail from your client. You begin venting in the reply area. “Your message has been sent”.

You snuck into your boss’s office to delete the e-mail you accidentally sent.
You forgot she wears an Apple Watch.

Thanks for reading! Have your own short horror story (design related or not)? Leave it in the comments. I could read them for hours.

Happy October!
